Bringing Comfort and Kindness: Care Packages for Moffitt Patients

In partnership with our high school through the Our Giveback Club, students helped assemble care packages for patients and families of Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa Florida. Our goal was to bring comfort and brighten someone's day through small acts of kindness.

Each care package included thoughtful items such as socks, blankets, coloring books, markers, lotion, ginger candies, bracelets, and handmade cards. During our club meetings, the students as a team worked together to organize the donated items and prepare the packages for delivery.

What made this project special was seeing everyone come together for the same purpose. Each student contributed in a different way, whether it was creating cards, sorting supplies, or assembling the packages. Once everything was ready, volunteers helped deliver them to Moffitt.

Through this experience, we learned that making a difference doesn't always require a grand gesture. Sometimes, even the smalles acts of kindness can bring comfort to someone going through a difficult time.
We hope to continue creating more care packages and finding new ways to give back to our community.
